Eric Landis, M&AMI, CBI, ABI, CBB, Broker, originally founded a consulting firm in Northern California in 1988, which specialized in assisting business owners during crucial transition phases and turnarounds. Naturally, he found himself in the midst of several mergers and acquisitions and developed a passion for helping business owners buy and sell businesses.  

In 1999, Mr. Landis relocated to Southern California and fully dedicated himself to the M&A market. As a founder and President of Landis & Associates, Inc., he focuses to provide intermediary services during the business sale or acquisition process. His mission is to keep alive the American Dream of owning a business. Mr. Landis’s clients include closely held businesses, private equity groups, hedge funds and affluent individuals operating within virtually all industries. He services a nation-wide client base, with access to buyer prospects spanning the globe.  

Mr. Landis specializes in GREEN/Energy, Health Care, IT and Service companies. His clients benefit from his experience in market strategy, strategic positioning, operational reviews, innovative problem resolution and astute negotiations. He is a guest speaker at various colleges and professional associations and has been published in trade magazines and newspapers. These accomplishments and his involvement in over 100 deals have earned Mr. Landis the trust of his clients and the respect of his colleagues throughout his 20 year career.

Mr. Landis holds a Bachelor Degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley. He has earned the designation of Merger & Acquisition Intermediary (M&AMI), held by fewer than 100 individuals worldwide, Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), Accredited Business Intermediary (ABI), Certified Business Broker (CBB) designations, is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and published author of various business articles.

Stan Gordon

Stanley M. Gordon, J.D., Associate Broker, is a native Californian, was raised in Beverly Hills and attended UCLA for undergraduate work and law school, obtaining his J.D. in 1971. He has resided in Laguna Beach since 1976 and has been deeply involved with the business and legal community since then.

Mr. Gordon has extensive experience in the areas of mortgage banking and financial services. In his capacity for several years as General Counsel of the Coldwell Banker Residential Group he was intricately involved in the acquisition of major regional real estate brokerage and related service companies. His experience also extends to having been directly involved in the planning and formation of the Coldwell Banker franchise program and, subsequently while back in private practice, the Prudential Franchise program. Mr. Gordon was the Chairman of Sunset Ridge Limited, which developed residential properties in California. Thereafter, he was one of the founders of FlexPoint Funding Corporation, a nationwide mortgage banker.

Mr. Gordon brings to his clients over 35 years of business and legal experience, as well as a thorough understanding of value optimization. His experience includes working closely with owners and senior-level executives of Service related organizations as well as Manufacturing and Technology related companies. Stan focuses upon identifying the needs of his clients and delivering customized business exit solutions.

Edward Testo

Edward D. Testo, Jr., Associate Broker,  Mr. Testo is a graduate of St. Mary's College of California. He is a former executive of a NYSE corporation, Equitec Financial Group, where he managed their leasing division's $50 million portfolio of assets. He has had boardroom seats on several high tech semi-conductor and disc-drive manufacturing companies.

He is a proven entrepreneur having created start-up companies in advertising and financial services industries. He holds a broker's license with the California Department of Real Estate and has been selling businesses and commercial property since 1999.

Mr. Testo also is an accredited senior appraiser designated by the American Society of Appraisers and is the President of Asset Reliance, Inc., a full service valuation firm based in Southern California. He has successfully served as a consultant to online commerce websites selling machinery and equipment as a business model development consultant.

 

Matthew DeLisio

Matthew DeLisio, Associate, started his career in aviation as a commercial contract pilot working across the United States and South America.  In 1999 he was recruited to manage a south Orange County company that specialized in the management, finance and sales of rear, exotic and high profile automobiles, airplanes, yachts and motorcycles.

Mr. DeLisio’s ability to successfully match opportunities with clients, lead him to multiple start up businesses, corporate acquisitions and joint ventures. In his career he has negotiated and successfully closed mutually beneficial contracts with fortune 500 companies and high net worth individuals. Mr. DeLisio believes that the foundation of a satisfied client is attention to detail and ability to recognize that no two transactions will ever be the same.

Jim Ball

Jim Ball, Analyst. With extensive experience as a business advisor and consultant, Jim assists companies through the Merger/Acquisition process, strategic positioning, value enhancement and financial restructuring. He works with business owners in various industries with emphasis in transportation, ecommerce, Internet technology, medical/optical practices and general manufacturing (including plastic and paper packaging).  Mr. Ball has designed, written and executed many strategic and business plans as well as borrowing memoranda.  

Jim graduated from the University of Minnesota (BS- Economics and Business), and spent the first 10 years of his business career with the Fortune 500 companies Exxon and Owens-Illinois.  For the following 20 years, he served in senior management with two flexible packaging companies, Hargro Packaging and Cello Bag Company.  As CEO of Cello (a notable leader in the industry), he led a management buyout of the company in 1996. Later, he sold the company to Amcor, LTD, one of the largest packaging company’s in the world. 

Mr. Ball is successful leader with a proven record in process, sales, profit improvement, union negotiations and has extensive experience in federal, state, and local government relations.

Tina Landis, Associate, is a native of Denver Colorado and moved to California in 1993 to assist a Direct Diamond Importer with the expansion and development of the local market. Her career started in big box Retail sales and progressed into management.  During her 15 year management profession she has been recognized as a community leader and awarded for her accomplishments and superior customer service.

Mrs. Landis brings to her clients over 20 years of management experience, business development, marketing, negotiation skills and problem resolution.  Her tremendous communication skills and unique ability to listen and understand the individual needs of her clients has earned her the respect of both Buyers and Sellers. 

Mrs. Landis received her California Real Estate Agent’s license and entered business brokerage in 2002 for the single purpose to keep alive the American Dream of owning a business.  Through the years she has represented and assisted business owners to achieve their acquisition and business sales goals in various industries.  Her success is based on unique listening skills, industry knowledge and ability to successfully deliver on client specific goals.
